If you’d asked me 12 years ago where I wanted to see my life as of this moment, I’d have said:

–Antiseptic, quiet, as far from the maddening crowd as I can possibly get.

And I’m lucky, because while not antiseptic, I got the rest of that.  I went from chaos into a really lovely life.  Everyone needs and deserves a reprieve from all of the crap and chaos the world throws at us.  Not everyone gets it.  Admittedly, even with my undeniable good fortune, I still tend to go a bit mad at times, when I think about all of the people who should …  and my lovely little terror there embodies it perfectly.
